About This Site

History

The Treasure Chest of Web Resources started as a project of the Henrico (Virginia) English department in 2001. The site was dropped from the Henrico servers in 2009, so it has been carried on by the designer, a former English teacher.

Usage and Recognition

The Treasure Chest has not only become a valuable resource for teachers throughout the state of Virginia, but it has also been used by English teachers in other states and in countries throughout the world. The Treasure Chest has won many awards and has become a library for all English teachers, helping them find the information they need as efficiently as possible.

About the Designer

Linda MacCleave was an English teacher for 30 years in the state of Virginia. After retirement, Linda pursued education in web development and design and started her own business. In 2001 Frances Lively, the Henrico English specialist, incorporated Linda's 7-year 20-day commitment to Henrico County into the development of a web site for the English teachers of Henrico County. She continues to maintain and update the site.
